Commissioners and the mayor responded that Noble Park is city‑owned but that a year‑round facility serving the county would likely require broader community, county, or private funding. Officials recalled prior discussions with the YMCA and warned that new full‑scale facilities can cost many millions of dollars; they said the city would follow up and investigate feasibility and funding options.
The commission took no immediate action beyond expressing appreciation for the suggestion and agreeing to look into next steps.
