At the May 6, 2026 meeting, Town of Concord cemetery staff gave an operations report summarizing April activity and upcoming planning steps.
Staff reported four full interments, four interments with cremated remains and two single graves sold during April. The report said the town meeting approved $850,000 for cemetery expansion and that staff will work with the town’s engineering department to establish start dates for the project.
Staff also said a meeting will be arranged within the next month between HSI and the columbarium subcommittee to advance columbarium planning. Committee members noted that landscapers completed spring cleanup and volunteers from a local Elks group placed flags on veterans’ graves; staff said outreach is underway to volunteer candidates for future committee membership.
The report was given for information; no formal vote was required on the staff update. Committee members asked staff to continue coordination with engineering and return with updates at a future meeting.
