Councilors expressed support for returning to the program, noting past projects such as playground upgrades funded through CDBG. The motion to award administrative services passed with recorded affirmative votes from Councilors James, Davis, Burns and Gary.
Town staff said they will prepare prospective project lists that meet CDBG criteria and present candidate projects to the council for approval before submitting applications. Councilors asked staff to return with proposed projects and noted the annual administrative fee structure is customary and paid from grant awards.
