The Town of Concord Cemetery Committee unanimously elected Beth Vanuser as its new chair and chose Rebecca Note as vice chair during a hybrid meeting on May 6, 2026. The committee conducted nominations and a roll-call vote after opening the meeting under the Commonwealth's executive order allowing hybrid sessions.
The leadership transition was accepted by the full committee in a series of roll-call votes. Members nominated Beth for chair and Rebecca for vice chair; both were approved without recorded opposition. After the votes, Beth Vanuser thanked the committee for the appointment.
Committee members also addressed subcommittee staffing for the columbarium subcommittee. Priscilla, who had held a seat on that subcommittee, indicated she could no longer serve. Bridget Rodri confirmed she would continue on the columbarium subcommittee, and Rebecca Note was nominated and approved to fill the open seat.
The newly elected chair and vice chair will preside over routine administrative duties and upcoming work of the columbarium subcommittee, including a planned meeting with HSI and town staff to coordinate next steps on columbarium planning. The committee scheduled its next regular meeting for June 3 and will observe a July–August hiatus.
The committee took the appointments and subcommittee assignments by formal motion and roll-call votes.
