Linn County commissioners approve claims, appraisal certifications and table tornado-damaged property relief request

The clerk presented letters from the county appraiser (dated May 22) and the board approved the 2026 transfer and certification of appraisal rolls for personal property, real property, and oil and gas by separate motions and voice votes.
On a separate matter, the clerk introduced a disaster-relief application requesting tax abatement or credit following the destruction of a house by a tornado. Commissioners agreed to table the request until Commissioner Ally (name referenced in the record) is present so the full board can review the matter; the motion to table carried by voice vote.
