The Select Board introduced Mike Mullen as the town’s new human resources director at its Feb. 18 meeting. “My name is Mike Mullen and I’m pleased to be here tonight to introduce myself as a new HR Director,” Mullen said, describing prior roles as a town administrator and a county director where collective bargaining and HR management were central responsibilities.
Board members welcomed Mullen and said he has already participated in union negotiations and begun working with department heads. The board noted Mullen will work with the Personnel Board and take on upcoming duties including managing performance reviews and the seasonal pay plan.
Mullen said he is eager to “hit the ground running” and help professionalize HR work across the town. The administration said his early involvement has smoothed the transition between HR leaders and supported active collective‑bargaining sessions.
