The court also approved acceptance of a crumb-rubber grant totaling $79,000 to help offset the cost of a playground project at the Miracle League facility. On appointments, the court approved a slate of appointments and reappointments across county boards: Jason Accord (East Marshall Fire Board, term to 6/30/29); Tiffany Towles and Wendy Rose to the Marshall County Senior Citizens Board (terms to 6/30/29 and filling vacancies as noted); Greg Hainisch reappointed to Fairdealing Olive Fire Board (term to 6/30/29); Aaron Crabtree appointed to Gilbertsville Fire Board (term to 6/30/28); Steve Tyree reappointed to Jonathan Creek Water Board (term to 6/30/2030); and Mona Freeman reappointed to South Marshall Fire Board (term to 6/30/29). Each appointment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Additional routine items approved at the meeting included the sheriff’s tax settlement and the sheriff’s franchise tax settlement, all handled by motion and voice vote.
