At the May 30 Lewiston Town Board meeting the board acted on several planning and personnel items recommended by the Planning Board and staff.
Planning: The board accepted the Planning Board's Type II SEQR determination for a Mod landfill site plan at 1445 Butler Road and approved the site plan as presented. Separately, the Planning Board recommended approval of a Broadway Group site plan for property at 2803 Soner Settlement Road subject to three conditions: (1) the applicant must secure a New York State Department of Transportation work permit for road work including a turn lane; (2) the applicant must revise site drawings to provide a dumpster enclosure sized for roll-off containers; and (3) the landscaping plan must be amended to comply with chapter 346 of the town code. The board amended its motion to include those three conditions and approved the site plan.
Personnel and finance: The board approved hiring two seasonal recreation leaders, Owen Feistel and Julian Josek, at $15 per hour. The board also approved a 2024 budget revision that had been circulated to members; a separate banking resolution to enable investment transfers using Bank on Buffalo was deferred to the next meeting pending attorney review.
The board closed public comments, announced upcoming commission meetings and adjourned.
