Commission adopts Planning & Appeals ordinance amendment and fills multiple board seats
Summary

The City Commission adopted an amendment to the Planning and Appeals Commission ordinance (Section 2‑335) clarifying voting procedures and how alternates should abstain in certain circumstances.
Following the ordinance adoption, the commission filled several appointments: O. Douglas as an alternate on the Planning & Appeals Commission; Dolores Harrison and Alyssa Bruce for two regular Planning & Appeals seats; Kyle Fox (Assistant Professor, College of Coastal Georgia) and Kate Sa to the Brunswick Historic Preservation Commission; and reappointed Mr. McVey to the Coastal Regional Commission. Votes on individual appointments were moved and approved at the meeting; one commissioner recorded an abstention on a historic preservation appointment.
Commissioners thanked candidates for volunteering and asked staff to coordinate meeting schedules and to provide quarterly updates from regional partners where appropriate.
