Hilltop foundation set, Elm retirement celebration and Vermont design workshop scheduled, district says

She said Elm has a building retirement celebration on May 20 with an open house from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., and that the third and final design workshop for the Vermont primary site is also scheduled that evening. Ms. Solis said the district met with residents who live along the Vermont property line and plans to install a wooden privacy fence set roughly 1 foot inside district property with adjustments where mature trees or garages require bespoke changes.
"Progress is moving along at full tilt," Ms. Solis said when summarizing Hilltop work and the start of regular construction coordination meetings. She explained that fence placement will be adjusted case-by-case where private garages or mature trees require access to residents’ property.
District staff said they will use resident feedback from the April 22 site walk to finalize designs at the upcoming workshop, and confirmed that construction sequencing will coordinate roofing, HVAC and locker deliveries at the high school to minimize schedule conflicts.
What's next: The district will present final design materials at the scheduled design workshop and continue biweekly construction coordination meetings with HGC and contractors.
