The board said Diaz has served as assistant principal at VTEC for six years and with Visalia Unified for 11 years, including prior classroom experience and summer principal duties.
The board’s announcement read the appointees’ professional backgrounds and credentials into the record and concluded with congratulations from trustees. No additional action was required in the public session because the votes were taken in closed session and then reported out.
The appointment takes effect immediately as reported. The board recessed briefly afterward to allow photo opportunities with honorees and to proceed with the evening agenda.
