Michael Schmidt, a wetland scientist with GD Consulting, told the Town of Southborough Conservation Commission that a revised as‑built plan for work at 170 Woodland Road now shows a dry well installed to receive runoff from a pool deck.
“For the record, my name is Michael Schmidt. I’m a wetland scientist with GD Consulting,” he said, and he explained that the dry well was routed to receive drainage previously discharging from a pool deck. Schmidt said the as‑built arrived late on the meeting day and offered to walk commissioners through the plan.
Commission members said they wanted time to review the late submission. They noted the work has been completed and that the homeowner wants erosion controls removed, but commissioners preferred to keep erosion controls in place through the growing season and defer formal closure until members have had a chance to analyze the revised as‑built. The item is scheduled for further review at the June 4 meeting.
No formal vote was taken at the May meeting; commissioners characterized the change as minor but asked staff and members to inspect the plans before issuing a certificate of compliance.
