Superintendent reports $50,000 donation toward fitness center, lists student honors and key end‑of‑year dates

The superintendent noted a lacrosse fundraising game raised $3,419 for MaineHealth Oncology.
Key end‑of‑year dates provided to the committee included senior assembly on June 4, graduation on Friday, June 5 at 6:00 p.m. (indoor contingency and livestream options were discussed if weather requires), the district school budget vote on June 9, seniors last day on June 29, PreK last day June 16, and grades K 12 last day June 17 with an early release. The superintendent said that staff and families will be informed of any weather changes for outdoor events and that indoor options exist.
The superintendent also thanked community partners and noted that the donations bring the district closer to a modernized wellness space dedicated to the St. Louis alumni effort. The committee asked no follow-up questions during the report and moved on to student representative updates.
