Holmen School District finance staff on May 26 recommended awarding the district’s five‑year banking services contract to Merchants Bank following a public RFP.
Executive Director of Finance and Operations Julie Holman said the district posted a request for proposals for banking services and evaluated submissions. Holmen’s staff recommended Merchants Bank because its bid included a no‑cost account‑fee proposal, a comprehensive bid package and strong vendor ratings; Holmen staff noted Merchants previously served the district before the current contract with Kulie Bank began in 2018.
Holman said the award recommendation will appear on the upcoming consent agenda for board approval. Trustees asked no substantive questions during the presentation.
If approved on the consent agenda, the five‑year contract would begin July 1, at the start of the district fiscal year.
