Council approves routine transfers, surplus and maintenance agreements; adopts student-recognition proclamation

Finance Chair Prader introduced a resolution to transfer $13,253.50 (identified as late-fee receipts) from the water fund to the customer assistance program; council approved the transfer by voice vote. Council declared a 2007 Ford F-150 surplus by resolution 2026-21 and approved a maintenance agreement with Striker Medical Equipment for the Aberdeen Fire Department’s medical equipment inventory.
The council also approved recommended expenditures of opioid-abatement council funds for 2026 and opened and closed a public hearing to receive testimony on the revised and extended six-year Transportation Improvement Plan for 2027–2032. Council unanimously adopted a proclamation recognizing June 2026 as Student Recognition Month, and approved appointments of Glenn Ramiski and Lindsay Third to the city’s ethics committee.
