Director Waldinger said the township will invite residents to apply and will post instructions on the township website; the submittal period will be open through March 31, 2026. "In your letter, please indicate why you wish to serve on the committee and include details on your education and work experience," Waldinger said during the meeting. He said the board will review candidates in April and aims for the committee to begin meeting in May to focus on "operational continuity and administrative coordination."
The board moved to create the committee and to appoint Supervisor Morris and Director Waldinger as members; the motion passed with the board recording three yes votes. The supervisors said the committee will serve in an advisory capacity and will not exercise governing policymaking authority. The board emphasized the committee’s role in public education on the new form of government and in advising on implementation tasks described in the study commission report.
Residents who wish to be considered should submit a letter of interest through the township website by March 31, 2026, listing relevant education and work experience. The board did not set a final committee size at the meeting and said it will decide after reviewing applications.
