As the newly designated chair, Bney then opened nominations for vice chair. Jose Eglacius was nominated, seconded and confirmed by a 4–0 vote.
The commission used electronic voting for both actions. No formal objections or alternative nominees were recorded during the public meeting. The commission immediately resumed regular business after the reorganization votes.
