Representatives for the New Paltz Rescue Squad attended the Feb. 24 meeting to discuss interior modifications to a facility in Plattekill. A board member noted the space had previously been used for dispatch and office functions and that the proposed changes would create sleeping quarters for personnel.
Board members asked the rescue squad to submit detailed interior plans describing the proposed sleeping quarters and other modifications so the board can evaluate code, use and implications for the site. “They need to bring us plans to show us what they're doing inside the building,” a board member said.
The board did not take final action at the meeting and directed the rescue squad to provide the requested documentation for review at a future meeting.
