Staff told commissioners the application covers on-site storage for vitamins and saline at the Meyers address while mobile IV treatments would be delivered to client locations such as homes, offices and hotels. Staff recommended adopting a categorical exemption from environmental review and approving the permit with standard findings and conditions; staff also said the permit now explicitly allows future storefront service so the applicant would not need a secondary permit should the business expand.
Commissioners had no members of the public sign up to speak. Commissioners asked staff to confirm that the use permit would include future storefront authority; staff said the permit was revised after Development Review Committee input to include that option. The commission moved and seconded approval; the record shows the motion passed with five yeses, one abstention and one absence.
After the vote a commissioner requested an explanation for the abstention; the transcript records the explanation as "because we manage that building" and "they're my tenants," offered in response to that request. No further action was taken on this item during the meeting.
The commission’s approval carries conditions and a requirement that, if storefront services are later provided, the applicant submit a scaled drawing of the room being rented to satisfy certificate-of-occupancy requirements. The applicant may now proceed with the permit conditions and any required building or health permits for operations.
