Wall Township Committee adopts consent agenda; committee outlines Orchard Park bathrooms, budget work and upcoming contracts

A committee member said a resolution to renew an annual agreement with the Monmouth County Office of Addiction Services — funding the municipal alliance program — will appear at a future meeting covering the period roughly July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
Officials described ongoing 2025 budget preparation amid inflationary pressures; Acting Business Administrator John Gross and the CFO will meet department heads to identify operating-cost reductions and revenue options. The committee also said an annual cap-bank ordinance that allows the township to bank unused tax levy cap will be on the next agenda.
Deputy Mayor Beck provided an update on a capital project: the Orchard Park permanent-bathroom project, approved in 2023, is expected to go out to bid in April or May. Beck said the project includes nearly $300,000 in grant funding from Monmouth County and the local recreation improvement program and will replace the current porta-potties. He said residents who use the bike path have noticed related utility-marking activity in the area.
