Communications committee recommends Stacy as an associate member to supervisors
Summary

During closing business on Feb. 18 the Communications Committee moved and seconded a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors that Stacy be appointed as an associate member.
The motion was put to a voice vote; a member registered opposition on the record but the committee agreed to forward the recommendation to the supervisors for formal appointment. Committee members encouraged Stacy to participate in meetings and noted associate members may engage fully in discussions but, per the township ordinance, do not have a vote on final committee recommendations to the board.
Meeting housekeeping: earlier in the meeting the committee moved to approve the Jan. 17 minutes after noting a typographical date error on the final page; the minutes were approved by voice vote with one recorded opposition.
Next steps: The committee will forward the recommendation on Stacy to the Board of Supervisors; the board will formally approve or deny the appointment at its discretion.
