Council advances stormwater ordinance to meet updated New Jersey rules

Council held the ordinance's first reading and voted to advance it to the next stage. Adam said the amendment responds to the township's NJDEP permit obligations and to post-Ida changes in the administrative code; it primarily affects developers and sites undergoing major redevelopment rather than routine residential work.
Next steps: the ordinance will return for additional readings and a public hearing before final adoption; developers should consult the updated engineering standards once the ordinance is finalized.
