The draft sets a coop size limit of about 200 square feet (approximately 10 square feet per chicken in the draft language), prohibits roosters, and disallows on‑site slaughtering.
The chair reported that the Planning & Zoning Board of Appeals did not secure a recommendation on the proposed ordinance at the June 26 hearing. As a result, the transcript notes a further hearing on a potential revision has been scheduled for Sept. 25.
