Kelly Sadiki elected chair as committee approves routine minutes and appointments

The Webster School Committee reorganized leadership at the start of its May 12 meeting. A member nominated Kelly Sadiki for committee chair; the motion was seconded and approved by roll-call.

The committee also nominated and approved the vice chair (member Adam/Adamopoulos as recorded in the roll calls) and other officer roles including the secretary and payroll/warrant designees and backups. Roll-call votes for each nomination were recorded by the clerk.

Committee members approved minutes from prior meetings (April 14 regular minutes, March 23 tri-board minutes, March 31 budget workshop minutes) by motion and roll-call. Later in the meeting the committee unanimously authorized declaration of miscellaneous books and inventory as surplus and empowered the superintendent or business manager to dispose of them consistent with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B.

The committee also authorized the business manager to perform necessary year-end transfers to close fiscal-year accounts and received the superintendent’s goals and evidence packet for the superintendent evaluation process. The meeting concluded after a final motion to adjourn passed by roll-call.
