The winning bidder proposed a 21‑day construction timeline, which commissioners called aggressive but acceptable if weather permits.
Staff provided a financial summary for the city’s investment in the building: about $349,122 spent to date (engineering, environmental, stabilization), $210,000 committed from a private donor, leaving an estimated city exposure of $139,122 before the roof; adding the $127,064 roof brings the city’s total in cost to about $266,122. The land bank will market the building after work is complete; the land bank board would consider offers and any sale proceeds would be returned to recoup city costs.
The commission approved the award and directed staff to proceed with pre‑construction coordination and documentation, including bonding and unit‑cost oversight.
