The Farmington Town Board on July 8 adopted a package of routine resolutions and read the town's Abstract 13 to pay bills before moving into executive session.
The board approved a resolution appointing Matthew Demetro to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027. It also approved a personnel resolution authorizing completion of the probationary period for Jennifer Ford and a $1-per-hour salary increase effective with payroll period 16.
Other actions included acceptance of the supervisor's monthly report for June 2025, a resolution declaring miscellaneous office equipment surplus for disposal, and authorization of the second partial release of funds (Letter of Credit release No. 2) for site improvements at the Petwood Town Home Project Phase 2 in the amount of $89,282.
The board approved an assessment resolution for sidewalk portions at 1067 Gateway Drive by roll call (the transcript records affirmative roll-call responses and states the motion passed). The board then considered Abstract 13 to pay bills; line items were read for general, highway, town-hall capital, storm drainage, district, water district, and payroll deductions and a total was announced. The numeric values in the spoken record contain transcription artifacts and are reported here as read at the meeting; precise accounting figures should be verified with the town clerk's official abstract.
Board members also approved a waiver of permit fees for farms and volunteer fire associations for their annual event. Following these items the board voted to enter executive session to discuss two items: pending or current negotiation/mediation issues and the medical/financial/employment history of a particular person or corporation; the chair estimated the executive session would last about 40 minutes and said no decisions would be made during the session.
Votes and formal outcomes: motions were moved and seconded as recorded in the meeting audio. Most items were carried by voice vote; the sidewalk assessment used a roll-call procedure. The transcript does not provide complete individual vote tallies for every resolution.
