Hyde Park Town Board approves staff change, two demolition orders and appoints municipal secretary

Liz introduced Resolution 721-1 of 2025, authorizing the board to terminate Maria Guadosi as provisional municipal secretary for the Hyde Park building department; the clerk conducted a roll call in which Councilwoman Msquida, Councilman Lombardi, Councilman Puscowski and Supervisor Tiani voted in favor and Councilman Prine was recorded absent. The motion carried.
The board then voted to authorize demolition and removal of two structures. Resolution 721-2 of 2025 orders demolition at 563 Quaker Lane (tax ID 6266-19-654134). Resolution 721-3 of 2025 orders demolition at 10005 Violet Avenue (tax ID 6164-01-443914). In each case the clerk took the roll call and the members present voted to approve the demolition orders; the board set a public hearing on those notices for Aug. 11 at 6 p.m.
The board also approved Resolution 721-4 of 2025 to provisionally appoint Janet Almasi as full-time municipal secretary for the Hyde Park building department. The clerk recorded votes in favor from the members present and the motion carried.
There was no new or old business following those actions. The meeting was adjourned after a motion and second.
