A scheduled public hearing on a proposed excavator contractor facility and wetlands remediation on Monroe Turnpike (IWC‑2026‑01, file 15646003; applicant Bruce Mondo Jr., representative Donald Smith Jr., PE) was announced as tabled until May 13, 2026. The commission then moved to accept minutes from its March 11, 2026 meeting; the chair recorded the motion carried with one abstention.
In general discussion staff described an anonymous property where a contractor had dug for a generator pad before public notice and recommended resolving that matter via voluntary compliance rather than issuing a violation; commissioners indicated they had no objection to voluntary compliance under conditions.
