A board member said the village will receive 25% of certain funds in advance to make initial purchases such as Level 2 EV chargers, electric landscaping equipment, and other approved items.
“It's a three-year contract… we'll get 25% of that 75 grand… the solar panels will be more long-term but what we will do right away is purchase the car the … level two chargers and the electric landscaping equipment,” a board member summarized.
The motion authorizes the mayor to sign the contract and designates a state-assigned project manager who will review quotes and approve purchases under the grant terms. The board discussed options and noted program reporting requirements (receipts, photos and spreadsheets tracking purchases) that are needed to meet NYSERDA’s reimbursement process.
Board members did not identify specific vendors or contractors at the meeting; they said they will coordinate a project lead and provide necessary documentation to the state project manager.
