The board also reviewed bids for a broader site project that includes parking upgrades, a new fire line, fencing changes and four portables. Staff said the construction low bid for that package came in around $2.5 million, and explained that TSA requirements for the portables would require stripping portables to studs and upgrading fire‑resistant materials and roofing.

Several trustees thanked classified staff and contractors for work supporting these projects as the district moves forward with reconfiguration.
