Scranton SD rolls out unified information system, Tech Genies and PD tracking plans

The presenter also introduced 'Tech Genies,' teacher representatives at each building who will receive a stipend to provide first-line help, run formal and informal professional development and support colleagues with grade-book and system questions as the new platform is adopted.
District staff said they will track professional development in the Vector platform to comply with code requirements; the district already tracks PD internally in its NEIU system but expects Vector will standardize records and support future funding requests, such as for literacy coaches.
No formal procurement vote or motion was recorded in the presentation. Presenters said the next steps include completing system configuration, rolling out building-level Tech Genies and scheduling staff training before the next school year.
