On a motion by Katie Hockert, seconded by Chris Lauer, the board approved the consent agenda 7-0. The consent package included two sets of previous meeting minutes, payment of invoices for April 4—17, 2026, a field trip request for students to attend the National Speech Tournament in Washington, D.C., a partnership plan building lease amendment, and multiple memoranda of agreement covering dental and health insurance premium contributions and a paraprofessional teacher's assistant pilot program, as well as the Human Resources personnel report.
The board later approved a resolution to rescind the unrequested leave of absence for some teachers. The motion to rescind was made by School board member Alison Sherman and seconded by School board member Sarah Grcevich; the motion carried 7-0. The minutes do not specify which teachers were affected or provide details about the circumstances that led to the initial leave notices.
Under Strategic Direction C, district staff presented an update on transportation for 2026-27 that described a revised transfer model and "additional changes aimed at improving efficiency and achieving cost savings."
