The Westport Planning Board on May 19 endorsed two routine approval‑not‑required (ANR) plans and made a conditional determination about a recorded subdivision road.
For 121 Adamsville Road, attorney Matthew Asen said the plan transfers roughly 16,954 sq ft to bring the dwelling lot into conformance; staff recommended endorsement noting the enlarged lot will meet the 60,000‑square‑foot zoning requirement and that an existing septic field lies on the newly created parcel. The board moved to endorse the ANR plan under Mass. Gen. Laws Chapter 41A 1B and approved the endorsement.
For 966 Drift Road, an engineer representing Russell Goyette and Sherry Miles described a 19,400 sq ft parcel transfer; staff recommended endorsement under MGL Chapter 41 Section 81P and the board voted to endorse the plan (one recorded opposition was noted in the meeting transcript).
On Register Avenue, John Per and Tracy Py described a route shown on an early recorded subdivision plan. Planning staff said the way predates subdivision control and recommended that, if upgraded to the town’s rural residential lane standard (specified gravel and base depth), the route could provide adequate access for a proposed lot. The board voted to find the way may be adequate once upgraded and directed staff to notify the building inspector when the improvements are completed.
Each of these findings and endorsements enables applicants to pursue the next step with the building commissioner or other town permitting authorities; they do not by themselves authorize construction.
