The Sheboygan City Plan Commission approved Mill Brew Holdings’ conditional use permit and architectural review for a two-lane 7 Brew drive-through at 3715 Washington Avenue.
Staff described the site as a vacant lot formerly used for semi-trailer parking and noted the proposed building would be about 813 square feet with an additional cooler/standalone structure. Kevin Schult, a partner with Mill Brew Holdings, and engineer/architect Eric Kowski of Excel Engineering answered commissioners’ questions during the architectural review.
Commissioner Joe led a technical line of questioning about the dumpster enclosure and exterior materials. Kowski said the enclosure would be prefabricated to match existing materials and described the exterior as modular Nichiha-style panels over a steel frame; he agreed to confirm that horizontal transitions between panel colors would fall on actual panel joints so the panels would read as full courses of brick rather than appear sliced.
Commissioners also asked about hours and menu. The applicant said the site would stay open into the evening — roughly 10–11 p.m. — and offer coffee, smoothies, ice-cream-based drinks, teas and flavored energy drinks. The commission moved, seconded and carried the architectural review and related conditional-use approval by voice votes.
Next steps include standard permitting, final construction inspections and confirmation of material and enclosure details requested during the review.
