The Sheboygan City Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit for a claw-machine arcade and small lounge at 931 North 8th Street on a voice vote.
Applicant Macy Yang introduced herself to the commission, saying, “My name is Macy Yang. I am the owner of Claw Lounge, LLC.” Staff told the commission the proposed indoor entertainment facility would feature claw machines, arcade-style games and a small lounge area and estimated roughly 5–10 employees and about 50–100 daily customers.
Commissioner Braden moved to approve the application; Commissioner Kim seconded the motion and the commission carried it by voice vote.
The approval clears the way for the applicant to pursue any building- and occupancy-level permits required by city and state code. Staff did not list any special operating-hour conditions in the discussion; commissioners asked no follow-up conditions on record. The commission’s next scheduled meeting is June 9 at 4 p.m.
