The Town of Danvers Planning Board on May 26 continued two applications to its June 9 meeting and indicated it expects to vote on the town’s Housing Production Plan at an upcoming June session.
The board accepted a continuance request from the applicant for 156 and 158 Maple Street (PMZ Realty Trust), represented by attorney Nancy McCann, to allow a third‑party peer review to conclude. The board voted to continue that public hearing to June 9, 2026.
Separately, the site plan application for 54 Cherry Hill Drive (Abiodun Abioye / Abioye Med Inc.) was also continued to June 9 after the applicant requested more time. The board agreed to change the agenda order earlier in the meeting so Lou Jordan could join virtually before the continued items were heard.
Planning staff (Josh) and board members noted the Housing Production Plan has been under discussion for more than a year; staff asked the board to review the document and said they anticipate bringing the plan back for a vote at one of the June meetings. No vote on the Housing Production Plan occurred on May 26.
The board also previewed additional items for June 9, including a site plan application for 37 Pope’s Lane (a proposed new building tied to the D’Luigi food processing facility).
