The Village of Catskill Planning Board on Jan. 27 voted to assume lead agency and classified a proposed modular home at 574 West Main as "Type II pursuant to subparagraph 11," and scheduled a public hearing for Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.
Shaun Lee presented site plans for the modular residence, noting that the Zoning Board of Appeals had approved the project on Jan. 15. Planning Board member Michele Pulver moved to assume lead agency; Anthony Petrianni moved to classify the project as Type II as described in the meeting record. Both motions were approved without objection.
Chair Gilbert Bagnell said the board would notify only owners of adjoining properties about the hearing and that the property owner is responsible for issuing those notices. Board member Darrin Elsom asked who places printed notices in the newspaper; Bagnell said he would follow up by email to clarify whether the owner or another party must publish the formal notice.
The board indicated the applicant must appear at the Feb. 10 hearing to continue the review. No vote on the site plan itself was taken at the Jan. 27 meeting.
The Planning Board adjourned at 7:30 p.m.; its next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.
