Ordinance 2026‑08 proposes increases to garbage and refuse collection fees and was set for a public hearing on June 9. Ordinance 2026‑12 would amend Appendix 8 (stormwater management) and likewise was set for a June 9 public hearing. Both measures moved forward with unanimous board votes.
Ordinance 2026‑13, the first of three readings, would amend city code (Title 12, Chapter 1 and Appendix A) to increase non‑residential plan review fees, establish residential and fire protection plan review fees, and formalize a resubmittal fee for third and subsequent plan reviews. At the meeting a council member clarified the resubmittal fee language existed in the code previously but had not been implemented; staff said the fee is being put into practice now based on a cost and staff‑time analysis.
No fee amounts or detailed tables were read into the record during the May 26 session; those details will be available for review at the June 9 public hearings. All motions on these items recorded unanimous board approval at the meeting.
Outcome and next steps: public hearings on June 9 will allow residents to comment and the board will take second and third readings after public input as required.
