Council approved a development application for an agricultural building (medium shed) on Lot 1, 192 (DA details in the agenda) after following declarations of financial interest.
The acting CEO noted the proposal would normally have been approved under delegation; however, policy (Senior Staff and Councillors Policy No. 53) required the matter to be presented to council. A councillor with a declared financial interest was asked to leave the room for consideration of the item.
The officer's recommendation to approve the application, subject to conditions and advice notes, was moved and seconded. Councillors described the structure as a medium-sized shed and said the application was straightforward. The motion carried and the officer's recommendation was adopted.
The minutes record the approval and the recusal; conditions of approval and advice notes were referenced in the officer report (1–S and advice notes 1–6 as set out in the agenda).
