The chair introduced a resolution to transfer foundation earnings into the foundation holding account as the first step to fund roads. After a motion and second, trustees approved the transfer by roll-call vote. A subsequent motion transferred the $7 million from the holding account into the county budget fund specifically earmarked for roads and ambulances; that resolution also passed on a roll-call vote.
Earlier in the meeting advisers and trustees discussed that the county had temporarily increased its spending policy to 5% for 2025–26 (from a long-term 3.25% rate); one trustee noted that change generated about $2.9 million in additional funds and helped avoid raising taxes, and cautioned that legislative timing could require future adjustments.
The board also approved claims for two invoices (Cat, Sapper & Miller) totaling $11,000 and approved Capital Cities' first-quarter invoice for $16,250. The attorney reported no additional items. The meeting concluded after a public-comment slot and a motion to adjourn.
