East Brandywine supervisors voted Sept. 18 to hire Joshua Trout for the public‑works department after a staff search and conditional offer. Trout, who lives in Westchester and has prior experience in cabinetry, interior renovations and at Wawa, accepted the offer subject to passing background checks, obtaining a commercial driver’s license permit within 90 days, and completing a probationary period.
A supervisor moved to extend the offer subject to those clearances; another seconded and the board approved by voice vote. The manager said the offer letter will spell out the conditions of employment.
