Township manager reports pension MMOs; staff applies for recycling and open‑space grants

The assistant township manager also told the board that staff is preparing applications for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s 904 recycling performance grant (which allocates funds based on recycled tonnage) and the Pico Green Region Open Space Program, which provides up to $10,000 to support public-space improvements. The assistant manager said the town’s Pico application would seek funds to support the "United We Play All Abilities" playground at East Brandywine Community Park. Staff also listed several upcoming community events and historical-commission speaker programs.
The board received the reports; no formal fiscal action was taken at the meeting on the grants or MMOs.
