At its July 28 meeting the East Brunswick Township Council unanimously approved three ordinances amending employee grades and compensation.
Ordinance 25-25 amends classifications covering the United Services Workers Union Local 255; Ordinance 25-26 updates grades and compensation for the Professional Managers Association (PMA) and confidential executive staff; and Ordinance 25-27 adjusts pay for temporary, part-time and seasonal employees for 2025. Each ordinance was given a second reading, opened for public comment and โ with no speakers addressing those items โ passed on roll-call votes with Council members Hall, Wendell, Winston and Council President Makavoy recorded as "yes."
The ordinances were presented as routine updates to align pay grades and classifications with negotiated agreements and staffing needs. Council did not amend the measures during the public hearing.
Each ordinance will be reflected in the township's personnel roster and payroll schedules according to statutory posting and notification requirements; the clerk read the ordinances into the record prior to the votes.
