The Riverside Local Board of Education conducted the first reading of a revised policy governing public speaking at board meetings. Board members said revisions circulated from "Dan" were received, and the policy was presented as a first reading with a vote to be taken at the next regular meeting.
Separately, the board agreed to schedule a work session on June 16 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss tax-increment financing (TIF) issues; Dan and David Seed were noted as expected participants and staff will seek to have Purcell available to discuss COPs borrowings and related project financial details. Board members confirmed several committee meetings in June: Curriculum and Programming Committee on June 17 at 7:30 a.m.; Finance and Personnel Committee on June 18 at 7:00 a.m.; Buildings and Grounds Committee on June 23 at 7:30 a.m.; a work session on June 23 at 5:00 p.m.; and the regular board meeting on June 23 at 6:00 p.m.
At the meeting’s close, the board took a motion to adjourn; a roll-call vote recorded five ayes (Mr. Iacono, Ms. Brewster, Ms. Grassi, Mr. Byers, Ms. Grananski) and the meeting was adjourned.
