Town staff said the grant will fund planning and design tasks required by the state as a condition of the award. Councilor Winer (speaking in favor of the consent item) and other councilors noted planned features that the funds will help scope, including modified, accessible bathrooms, a small café, and moving some offices to better support seniors and community programming.
Deputy Mayor Roach moved to approve resolution R26‑001 accepting the CIF award; the motion was seconded by Councilor Winer and passed by voice vote. Staff said project design and later construction funding remain subject to further council action and state requirements.
