He described several incidents of public intoxication and harassment that resulted in arrests and said the department is progressing through the accreditation process.
Both chiefs said the departments supported community events (traffic and road-closure management) and encouraged residents to coordinate with public-safety officials when planning large gatherings. The council did not take any formal votes related to policy or budgets during the reports.
