Silver Creek board recognizes national cheer champions, BPA national competitors and other student achievements

At the May 26 meeting Silver Creek School Corporation recognized several student and staff accomplishments.
Sophia Manucci was honored for being selected to Team USA (Youth All Girl) and earning a gold medal at the ICU Junior World Cheerleading Championships. The board read a statement from Coach Jen Kaufman and invited photos.
Student leader Jennifer Ramirez, a senior, summarized the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Nashville and reported individual and team placements: Ramirez placed 21st in business law and ethics at nationals after finishing third at regionals and sixth at state; teammates reported regional and state placings and two students reached national rankings in accounting and payroll accounting.
Administrators also noted that Jackson Murphy earned an associate of applied science degree in entrepreneurship (reported as the first at Silver Creek and among the first in the state), and Cindy Mackey was named an IvyTech teacher nominee. The board further listed juniors who scored 1300 or higher on the March SAT administration and encouraged recognition as National Merit semifinalist results are announced in the fall.
Board members and administrators thanked coaches and staff, congratulated the class of 2026, and extended best wishes for a safe summer.
