Palm Springs Unified board approves principal hire, contracts and policy updates

The board also adopted Resolution No. 25 2025–2026‑42 to award a public-works contract not to exceed $235,000 for the James Workman Middle School field renovation project. Members moved and seconded the action and the motion passed.
Other consent and business items approved included an amendment (Amendment No. 1) to Agreement C‑00005381 with Carnegie Learning Inc. for the district’s 2025–26 live virtual program, and the rejection of claim number 2025‑2026‑11 against the district as presented by staff.
The board approved revisions to board policy BP 1312.1 (complaints concerning employees) and BP 5020 (parents’ rights and responsibilities), and a package of superintendent consent items (16A–16J).
