TAC to recommend candidates for vacancies; June meeting likely virtual

Mr. Jasper told the Technical Advisory Committee on May 27 that staff had interviewed multiple candidates for two vacancies and will make a recommendation to the authority at its July meeting; if endorsed, new members would likely be seated in September.
“The packet for your June meeting will have to go out before the authority has approved that amount,” Mr. Jasper said, explaining TAC recommendations will be conditional on the authority approving the finance forecast at its June meeting. He said staff will begin with a baseline forecast but update recommendations if the approved revenue number differs.
Mr. Jasper also said the June TAC meeting will be held virtually and will likely be brief because many members have scheduling conflicts; members discussed whether hybrid meetings require a quorum physically present and noted limits on the number of allowed virtual meetings per year. With no quorum at the May 27 session the committee held no votes and adjourned after administrative updates.
