Mashpee Select Board corrects annual-warrant figures, rescinds and re-approves Articles 3 and 9

The Mashpee Select Board on March 30 voted to rescind earlier actions and re-approve two warrant articles on the draft five annual town meeting warrant after clerical corrections, and approved execution of the town meeting and election warrants.
Select Board members moved to rescind Article 3 of the annual warrant to correct a clerical error in the Capital Improvement Program figures. Board members explained that a capital stabilization figure had been inserted inadvertently in place of the total CIP tally; the underlying project totals did not change. After rescinding the prior vote, the board approved Article 3 on draft five of the warrant.
The board also rescinded and reintroduced Article 9 to fix a numerical typo. The corrected dollar amount presented to the board was $190,163, replacing an earlier figure of $89,897. One member recused themself from the Article 9 recommendation and approval; the motion passed by those present with one recusal.
Town Clerk Jessica Colpas asked the board to execute the annual town election warrant for May 9, 2026. "I am here tonight to request for the board to execute the annual town election warrant for May 9th, 2026," Colpas said. She reported polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; precincts 1 and 2 will vote at the Senior Center, precincts 3 and 4 at Town Hall, and precinct 5 at the Mashpee Public Library. Colpas said the ballot will contain eight races and seven ballot questions. The board voted to execute the election warrant as requested.
The board voted also to execute the special town meeting warrant and the annual town meeting warrant (draft five) as presented. Votes on the warrant-related motions were taken with members responding in roll call.
With no executive session matters and no further business, the chair closed the meeting and the board adjourned.
